WITP NERANG, QLD

Wild In The Parks Nerang was meant to be held last saturday the 4th of December, but the rain wouldnt allow us the pleasure. In-stead we banned together and partied the day away in the wet with wild games, music and food.
The pics and video that follow, show you but a glimpse of the fun had. With the kids having baked bean eating comps, Berocca eating comps and dance offs, the fun seemed never ending. the red bull girls came just after the pizza arrived and gave us all that extra buzz to run through the last activity of the day and my favourite....the longest body slide on the wet grass.

hope you enjoy the following as much as we did!

VOLCOM STONE'S VQS D-BAH QLD 27TH NOVEMBER 2010

We arrived at Duranbah Beach car park for the second stop on Volcom Stone’s Totally Crustaceous Tour 2010/11 to find the sun was out the waves pumping 3-5 foot , fun peaks up and down the beach.

We got a big turn out with all division filling up really fast with some off the talent Qld and Northern NSW has to offer. Not everyone surfed in the event with big crowds of people packing the beach to win loads of giveaways up for grabs.

First up we had the Groms they were all ripping up the inside bowls with Volcom’s Quinn Bruce dominating the first few rounds but fell short in the final to Chris Zaffis who scored some really high heat totals in the 18 to 19 range. Quinn also picked up a custom surfboard from Hammo for stand out performance of the day.

The girls had a very close final with only a few points between 1st and 4th. Sopie Callister came off with the win, in 2nd we had Wini Paul, 3rd Chiama Irland and in 4th Alysa Lock.

Next we had the juniors with Jake Cumberland coming away with the win, Izak Clifford in 2nd,Volcoms own Jack Scollard 3rd and Cody Daw in 4th. All surfed outstanding throughout the day and relished in the perfect conditions that the famous beach break had to offer.

We had a strong showing for the pro am division with Dru Adler winning the event with a crazy last wave in the dieing seconds of the final, he managed to find a tube and finish the wave with a huge air reverse scoring a 9 point ride.

Also taking home 50 bucks for the Electric bolt thrower, not a bad day all in all for Dru.

Finishing off the day with a presentation for all the finalists and presented them with huge prize packs for all their efforts. All finalists have qualified for the VQS Australian Championships to be held at Manly Beach on April 15th – 16th 2011.

Thanks to everyone who come down on the day and joined in the fun and games and to all who helped with the event. And a big thanks to our supporting friends:
